Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Nouvelle-Aquitaine on two wheels, under your own terms

France's largest région runs from the Pyrenees to the Charente and from the Atlantic coast to the Massif Central. That scale rewards powered travel.

A région built for riding

Nouvelle-Aquitaine covers more ground than Austria, and the terrain shifts sharply as you move across it. The Landes is flat Atlantic pine forest stretching to sandy beaches. The Dordogne and Garonne valleys roll through vineyard country. The Charente threads through Cognac and Angoulême. Further south and east, the land rises through the Pyrenean foothills and the wooded plateaus of the Massif Central. The gap between what a plain bike can reach and what an e-bike can reach is wide here.

Along the Atlantic shore the going is largely level, but inland the valley gradients and the sheer distances between points of interest are the real barriers. E-bikes close that gap — Pyrenean passes, river-valley towpaths like the Flow Vélo along the Charente, and long forest tracks through the Landes all become genuinely possible rather than theoretically available.
